The contest will start on October 1st, and end on the 27th of November. This gives the judges one week to judge the contest entries, the winners to be revealed on December 3rd 2008, TODC's second birthday. Each entry will be judged on three evenly-weighted points: usability (text-size, font-choice, easy to follow layout), visual appearance (colour scheme, flowing design, renders closely in Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Opera), efficiency (lean and optimized images and CSS preferred, best practices preferred in CSS). They should support a wide variety of tags, such as those in Tagsoup
The first-place winner will receive $150, the second-place winner will receive $100, and the third-place winner will receive $50. Winner(s) will need to accept prize money via PayPal. Payment will also be in USD funds, so if winner is outside the US, they are responsible for exchange rate information and/or fees, etc.
